Fundmyplanet.org needed a new crowdfunding platform. After an extensive assessment of out-of-the-box solutions and full service crowdfunding sites it was determined that having a flexible and fully customisable platform would be required. The site needed to be able to accept contributions for a range of crowdfunding campaigns as well as accept one off and recurring donations for the organisation's adoption programs. Drupal was chosen due to the solid foundation provided by the Drupal Commerce module and a range of add on modules specifically designed to manage recurring and one off donations.
